WAYYY behind! :/

I have let myself get super behind schedule! :/
We have been super crazy busy with graduation, finals, packing, moving, getting settled at my grandmas, and me starting my new job.
So before I get into all the baby business and fun pregnancy experiences I figure I'll hurry and talk about graduation and how everything finished up at Snow :)
So on May 5th Eric and I both graduated from Snow College :)
Our families came down to Ephraim to support us and right after the ceremony we all headed back to our apartment and worked our butts off on getting everything cleaned and loaded!
I am happy to say that we successfully got everything moved out of our apartment and settled in a temporary home until August when we get to go through the wonderful moving process all over again :(
As far as school went... both of us got pretty great grades this semester (we both got passing grades in our math 1050 class! Whoo hoo! :)) and I even got to graduate with honors for having a 3.7 GPA!
Other than that nothing too exciting happened in Ephraim.. I mean really, what can happen in good old Sanpete County that is too exciting?? ;)

This is a picture we took with Eric's phone right after graduation! My mom took a million pictures so hopefully eventually I'll have more to post haha!

Now for the fun stuff :)
As far as little baby Asher goes, things have been amazing! It is hard to remember exactly what happened when but I will try to do my best at recapping the last 2 weeks that I missed and then hopefully in a few days I can find time to post about being 20 weeks haha!
SOOO...
18 weeks:
Nothing crazy exciting happened during this week but I enjoyed it none the less.
I did somehow catch an awful cold (the week of finals of course) and had to try and pack our entire apartment, get all of the last minute moving plans sorted out, and study for my finals all with a lovely fever! Luckily after 3 days my fever went away and I was able to work around the smokers cough and runny nose haha!
This week my food aversions were SUPER strong... for some reason eggs and broccoli make me want to throw up, which is weird because I loved both before I got pregnant!
Poor Eric... haha! He had to put up with eating the same things for about 2 weeks because they were the only things that sounded good to me.
This week was also the start of having bad lower back pains (I had been having some issues throughout the whole pregnancy but this week they started to get even worse!)

19 weeks:
This week something crazy exciting did happen.... I FELT LITTLE  ASHER MOVE FOR THE FIRST TIME!!! It was so amazing!
It is kind of a funny story really. This past Saturday was fairly busy for me. Eric and I decided that since we hadn't made time to go on a date with just the two of us for a couple months it was time we changed that and planned to go out Saturday night! I was so excited to get to spend some alone time with him.
Before the date, however, I had to go to a bridal shower for Kayla Castagno (which was a blast!)
At the bridal shower I ate tons of candy and junk food and drank 3 little glasses of sprite, which doesn't sound bad, but Eric and I have been off soda for over a month now so it was really not the best idea haha! Before the shower I also ate chinese food which both Kami and Britt said caused problems for them when they were pregnant thanks to the MSG....
well long story short, we got on the date and the minute we got to Jordan Landing and started shopping I started to feel a tiny bit sick to my stomach but I was sure it was just from eating too much sugar and that it would go away shortly...
Well after an hour of shopping I was feeling REALLY sick and completely ruining our first date in months haha.
We went to Kneaders and I ordered a cup of Tomato soup and took one bite and knew that it wasn't a good idea so we boxed it up and I just rested and tried to feel better while Eric ate.
After dinner Eric thought he should just take me home but I was determined to not completely ruin the date so I insisted that we followed through with our plans of going to the movie.
(We went and saw "What to expect when you're expecting" and it was hilarious! I loved it sooo much!)
I made it through the movie but after I still felt really sick. We started talking and I was describing how I felt and we kind of decided that I was bloated from eating so much junk and drinking soda for the first time in a month and that if I went home and went to bed I would feel better...
Well while in the middle of feeling absolutely miserable I felt more amazing then ever before :)
I am pretty sure it was because I was bloated but I felt a little kick in my stomach and then a little flutter and then another little kick! I couldn't believe it! I was so excited! I had been feeling disappointed that I was already 19 and 1/2 weeks and never felt the baby move cause all of my friends said they felt their baby at 18 weeks. Throughout the following 30 minutes of driving I felt him kick and wiggle about 5 more times! Later that night I ended up throwing up, which helped me feel better but I haven't felt little Asher move since... Apparently I have to pick between feeling him move and not feeling like I am going to puke haha!

Other than that, nothing too big. My back has been KILLING me which is no fun but Eric is a good sport to give me some pretty awesome back rubs :)
As far as my baby bump goes... still just chub haha! It makes me laugh because when I found out I was pregnant I was counting down to when I'd be 12 weeks because I was sure that my belly would be showing by then...
Well I'm almost 20 weeks and still just look like I've gained a few extra pounds haha!

The no soda drinking really has helped me though! Since I stopped drinking soda I haven't gained any weight which means that essentially I've lost the bad kind of weight! :) I have gained about 6-7 pounds total, depending on the day I weigh myself haha!

We have our targetted ultrasound appointment next tuesday and we also were able to switch doctors so we are super excited for our next appointment! :)

Other than that Eric has just been enjoying having a few weeks off before his job starts and I have been enjoying working at Kidsville daycare and just taking it easy really! :)

As for our families.... They have been having a little too much fun spoiling our handsome little guy haha!

Not going to lie... I am loving the fact that Asher is going to be the first grandbaby/great-grandbaby/nephew/ great- nephew on my side of our family.... Eric and I aren't going to have to buy a single thing haha!

Hopefully I'll be able to post again soon with some more updates! Until then I will just enjoy being prego and be extremely grateful for everyday that goes by that I safely carry this baby closer to being in our arms! :)

Baby Asher :)

Sooo the verdict is.... IT'S A BOY!! :)
We had some difficulties with our doctor again (imagine that) so we ended up having one of my sister in law's friends help us out! She was super nice and seriously was able to tell us in less than a minute what we were having!
So more about our doctor. Our appointment was set for Monday at 3 PM and we were so excited to get to find out! I was almost 17 weeks and he told us at our last appointment that we would for sure get to find out at this appointment. Well he came in for our 2 minute appointment and wouldn't even try to get the baby to move so that he could tell us.
We were really frustrated because we even expressed how disappointing it was that we couldn't find out and asked if he used a different method of ultrasound or if I got up and drank something if we could see if that would work and he just told us that sometimes that will work but there was no guarentee so he wasn't going to spend the time to do that.
It was soo frustrating and we left the office with me bawling my eyes out yet again.
Luckily Kam's friend Heather was able to come to the rescue and see us the next day after hours and she was so awesome! She printed us a ton of different pictures and we got to find out like we had been planning! :)
It was really funny because Kami came with us so Heather would know who we were during the ultrasound Kami used Eric's phone to record our reactions. Heather was on the phone when she started the ultrasound so we were just watching and within 30 seconds Kami was like "ohh! Can I take a guess?? I think I know!" It was so obvious! We laughed and laughed and when Heather got off the phone we asked her if it really was a boy and she said "Ohh yeah, that is one that one of our ultrasound tech's would have said 'that is one for the dad to be proud of!'"
Eric thought that was pretty funny and was grinning from ear to ear haha! We are super excited and all of our families are too! :)
This is a cute 3D one with Asher's hands up by his face :)

For some reason Eric and I were both fascinated by how cute little Asher's feet are haha! We got lots of good pictures of them and they are sooo cute!
This was 3D of his little feet/legs
And there is his tiny little foot! See.. cute, right??

In other news, we went home last weekend from Saturday-Tuesday and I somehow caught a sickness that is definitely winning the battle between the two of us! I am soooo sick! :( I have been running a fever and coughing up a storm due to the fact that I am so congested and I think I have gone through about 3 rolls of toilet paper blowing my nose! I get into these chill spells and I just start sweating extremely bad but I am freezing. It is the worst feeling ever!
Since this is finals week and we move home on Saturday, I haven't been able to just lay around like I want to. We have so much packing to do but luckily we both only have 1 more final!
Hopefully today is my last day of sickness so that I can buckle down tomorrow and get everyting done.
Last bit of good news, I got a job! I am going to work at a daycare twice a week from 8AM-4PM and then the other 3 days from 12PM-2:30PM. It is only about 20 hours a week but I really think I will enjoy it and I can't say that I'm not excited to have some time for relaxing haha!

Lastly, I just have 3 more pictures :)

a Profile-ish picture of Asher Eric Allred :)

These are 2 belly picture I took right around 17 weeks :)

16 weeks :)

ONLY 5 DAYS UNTIL WE FIND OUT BOY OR GIRL!!!
I am seriously so excited! That is easily the best thing about this week of pregnancy.
Our appointment is Monday at 3 PM and I already can't do anything but think and talk about it! I am soooo anxious.
Other news about pregnancy... I have only gained 1 pound the past 3 weeks but I'm still within the weight gain limit so I'm hoping it is nothing to be worried about.
Eric and I have also made it our goal to get into better shape! We have been pretty good about going on walks since I found out I was pregnant but n ot enough to help me stay fit so after talking to our doctor and getting the okay we have started adding stretches of jogging into our 3 mile walks! My goal is to be able to run or at least half run half walk the 4th of July 5K with my big old belly.
We have also decided to take a break from drinking soda and try to increase how much water we drink!
I really want to try and be extremely healthy throughout this pregnancy so that I don't gain a bunch of unneeded weight that I struggle to work off after the baby comes.
Since our baby will be born in October I want to try and stay in really really good shape up until he or she is born so that I can take advantage of the last few weeks of great fall weather after and hopefully jump right back into exercising!
In terms of school, this week has been super crazy! Eric and I spent 5 hours doing nothing but assignments yesterday (luckily that got us almost completely finished!) Other than just homework I work the rest of the week as well so hopefully I can squeeze everything in between classes and work so I don't have to stress over the weekend.
Eric and I are moving back to Tooele next Saturday and we haven't even started packing so that is a whole other job to add to the list as well...
This summer could be an interesting one, especially since at the moment I don't have a job! :/
I have been applying everywhere so we are hoping that we will hear some good news soon.
That is pretty much all the exciting stuff going on for now, I will hopefully get the chance to blog next monday or tuesday about the gender of our baby and until then we are just praying that Baby Allred cooperates enough for us to actually find out this appointment... I was super disappointed last appointment so I don't know what I would do if we don't get to find out this appointment!

15 weeks :)

Today marks the start of my 15th week of pregnancy! Nuts!
I haven't really had any sickness or insane cravings that I can think of (I did eat half a jar of pickles by myself in one sitting last night but I think that might just be cause I love pickles haha!)
I am feeling a lot more squishy these days and have started exercising a little bit more...
I am really get sick of feeling chubby icky! Even my legs are starting to feel more chubby!
I feel like I've gained the most weight this week and the ironic thing is that I haven't even gained a single pound! I don't know if I am just imagining it or if my body is truly changing but just not weight-wise.
Anyways, other than that I just have had to start adjusting to being hungry all the time...
At first I would come home and eat a huge lunch because I felt so hungry but no matter how much I ate within 2 hours I'd be hungry again so I have started to realize that I need to eat my 3 normal meals and try to keep them on the small side so that in 2 hours I can have a small snack without eating enough food to sustain 5 grown men! haha!
This week (and the next two weeks) have been/are going to be extremely stressful! Next week is our last week of class and the following week is finals which means that this week is the last week to work on all of our lovely group projects teachers find so convient at the end of the term. Luckily I've only have to work twice this week!
In other news, This weekend should be super fun and exciting! The Allred's are gone to Disneyland for the weekend so we will be spending lots of time with my family which will be good since it is Baylee's prom this weekend! We get to go home first thing friday morning (we are actually going to one of my good friends weddings at the Oquirrh Mountain temple on the way! :)) and the lovely Shayna Watson will be cutting my hair which i am so excited for! I've been growing my hair out and it has grown a ton but it is just in a super awkward length which is another factor in me never feeling cute so I'm hoping that with a little color added and some new bangs I will gain a new opinion about my appearance! :)
and for a last note... in exactly 12 days Eric and I will know if we have a little Kaydynce or Asher! We can't wait!! :)

14 weeks :)

Since I missed last weeks post I decided to do this weeks a day early! Tomorrow I will be 14 weeks... CRAZY!!
I can't believe how fast the time has gone by!
We had a doctors appointment last Thursday and we were a little disappointed with the results...
It was supposed to be the appointment when we got to find out a guess of what we are having, but we had a few complications.
For starters, our classes got out a little late so we were running about 5-10 minutes behind schedule. Our appointment was for 4:45 and at 4:40 we were still 10 minutes away so we called our doctors office to let them know what was going on.
The receptionist went to talk to the doctor and when she came back she told us that she marked us down as 5 minutes late and that we would be fine as long as we weren't more than 10 minutes late because Dr. Davis had a C-section scheduled for that night.
We ended up making it into the office and checked in at 4:47 and then we ended up waiting in the waiting room for 15 minutes! I assumed that was a good thing and that us being late wasn't a big deal...
Well we got into our room and the doctor came in and was seriously with us for under 5 minutes! It was so disappointing. He walked in and made a comment about us being late and that he was glad we called to let them know and that we would have to make this appointment a little bit quicker than normal. (He failed to say anything about why we had to wait in the waiting room for 15 minutes!)
He then grabbed the ultrasound and hurried his way through the appointment. The picture he printed for us doesn't even look like a baby but during the ultrasound on our DVD we could see very clearly where the baby was!
Cute little baby Allred was being the biggest wiggle worm and the doctor spent less than 2 minutes with the ultrasound and told us that the baby wouldn't quit moving and that he didn't have time to wait to find out if we have a little Kaydynce or Asher on their way...
When we walked outside I burst into tears! It was so awful! I had been looking forward to finding out but I had also been preparing myself for him telling us that we weren't far enough along to get a good guess.... what I wasn't expecting was for our doctor to not have time for us and then for making it seem like it was our fault for showing up 3 minutes late to our appointment. We didn't leave the appointment with any exciting news or evidence of our baby! We barely heard the heartbeat in clips here and there and he was so fast with the ultrasound we barely got to see our baby!
He took the time so he knew the baby was safe but he didn't give us the chance to see for ourselves...
After we put our dvd in and watched it a couple of times I was able to get a picture off of the dvd that was pretty good and that made me feel a little bit better but we were still very disappointed in our experiance all together.. Hopefully our next appointment goes better and we are supposed to get to find out what we are having for sure!

Other notes from our weekend (much happier notes haha!)...
Eric's birthday was on sunday and he got all sorts of fun stuff! After our doctors appointment on thursday we went out to eat at Olive Garden and then we went to Nike Outlet store and he picked out a nice new pair of shoes! He also got a super nice sketching kit and 2 outfits from my mom, a $50 check from each of my grandparents, a pull up bar and the perfect pushup from his sister Britt, and then as a joint birthday present for the both of us his parents bought us an Xbox Kinect! Needless to say, we came back to Ephraim very spoiled!
In addition to Eric's birthday, Sunday was also Easter of course! We had such a great time being able to spend 4 whole days with our families and just get a break from work, school, and other responsibility!

And my last note for this post... I wanted to talk about weight gain during pregnancy!
I've never been one that likes to wear my shirts very tight due to insecurities about my tummy so I always assumed that when I got pregnant, pretty much my entire closet would still fit me. I assumed that just my belly would get bigger and everything else would be the same and so that all of my clothes would still fit me!
I can't tell you how wrong I was! I'm only 14 weeks and have just a tiny belly that mainly looks chubby and I've only gained 4-5 pounds (depending on the day I weigh myself!) and my clothes are already starting to get uncomfortably tight! Anything around my waist is pretty much uncomfortable. My legs and arms have stayed the same size so my pants fit fine everywhere but the waist and my shirts fit fine until they get to that awkward middle section! This wouldn't be that big of a problem if I could just slap on some maternity pants and call it good... but you see, maternity pants just fall off and the shirts look too big on me. That leaves me with 4 options.. 1- wear too big maternity clothes, 2- wear too tight normal clothes, or 3- go buy me new normal clothes in bigger sizes... well since the first 2 are super annoying and the 3rd one is pretty much not an option with all of our other bills and fun stuff that leaves me with my last and chosen method: 4- wear a mix of big and small clothes and mainly stick to sweat pants and comfy, scroungy clothes...
I also didn't expect to feel so fat! I don't feel cute and pregnant at all... instead I feel super chubby and overweight! I don't know if this thought is a huge misconception as well, but I can't wait for my belly to get bigger and more firm so that I actually feel cute and pregnant, not just fat in all of my clothes!
well anyways, sorry this post was so long (as always!) and here is the picture we were able to get off of our DVD....

12 weeks :)

Sooo tomorrow I will be 12 weeks so I thought I might as well post again!
I can't believe that I'm already 12 weeks! I remember when I very first got pregnant and someone told me that after 12 weeks your chance of miscarriage decreases a ton. We figured it out and were counting down to when I would be 12 weeks and it seemed like the day would never come!
But ANWAYS...
about the adventures of pregnancy...
As for my body... yuck! I have gained about 4-5 pounds depending on the day, which is right where I should be according to the chart my doctor gave me, so that is good. Only i don't feel like I'm right where I should be. All my pants are tight around my waist and no matter what style of shirt I wear I seem to get a cute little pudge gut...
My mom bought me a couple pairs of maternity pants and my sister in law sent us with all of her maternity clothes and I have tried a couple pairs of pants but they just seem to fall off all day...
This means I get to stay in the lovely in between stage for a little bit longer (hopefully only a little bit!)
Food wise, I am amazed at how much I can eat and how frequently I want to eat! My doctor said to make sure I try to eat somewhat healthy and to just make sure I don't feel like I overeat but that it is normal to have a bigger appetite so I'm hoping I'm doing all right!
Like I said, I've been tracking my weight and Eric and I have been walking and the only thing that is getting bigger is my belly so I guess we will see how things play out!
I crave things like crazy (as I have the whole time haha!)
Mashed potatoes and gravy
cans of spaghetti that is the same brand as spaghetti-o's
frozen burritos with LOTS of sour cream
MILK MILK MILK (We have seriously been going through almost 2 gallons a week between Eric and I, whereas 1 gallon would normally last us almost 2 weeks!)
the wheels and cheese microwave dinners
oriental ramen noodles
Eric says it would be easier to list the things that I don't want to eat... maybe I am eating a little too much haha!
Cooking has become sort of hard this past week or so since I now smell better than a drug dog these days...
This is just a good excuse to waste money on fast food! :)
I also finally broke down and bought a package of paper plates to help with the dishes!
Other pregnancy behaviors are I CANNOT get myself out of bed in the morning, I get VERY emotional VERY easily, and mustering up motivation to do anything is pretty much impossible..
Also, I have some awesome pregnancy brain! For example, twice now I have walked into class with nothing but my backpack and left with nothing at all.. It is always embarrassing to have to interrupt the next class to awkwardly get my backpack.. and Eric's favorite of the night, while writing this blog post I couldn't think of something that could smell really good so I asked him "what animal has the best sense of smell? A cat?" He thought this was pretty funny and let me know what a stupid question it was... He also said I should have changed that part in this post to "I can smell better than a drug cat these days" he thinks he is pretty funny!
Sick wise I have actually been pretty good! I still feel pretty crappy all around but it is a crappy feeling that you can still go about your day!
Our next doctors appointment is next Thursday and if everything goes as planned during the ultrasound out doctor should be able to take a guess at the gender so we can't wait for that!
Until next post, here is a belly picture I took yesterday (so like 11 weeks and 5 days?)

Catch up time...

Sorry... I have let myself get a little bit behind! Things have been nuts with all the makeup homework from the cruise and work so on so forth...
ANYWAYS! So tomorrow I will be 11 weeks! CRAZY! I can't believe it! I'm almost done with the 1st trimester, which means... hopefully this contantly feeling like crap phase will come to an end.
I've been feeling pretty icky and it has been a super big pain with having to stay caught up on schoolwork and force myself to go to work! My manager at work has been super good to work with me, which is really good because I've had to call in twice already :/ On my second call in day I called bawling hysterically because I didn't know what to do because I had already called in too many times and I was worried I was going to get into trouble and we had been dealing with some issues with our medicaid application being denied (which we ended up getting fixed.. pheww!) so I was feeling super stressed about money and I get incredibly emotional! Needless to say I was having a panic attack and wasn't thinking rationally.. Everyone at work thinks I'm nuts now so that is cool!
Other than that, it has been an adventure haha! My cravings change by the hour (which kind of takes a toll on the grocery bills haha) and doign dishes makes me super sick and often times so does cooking which means we have been wasting wayy too much money on eating out... I just figure this is a fairly good excuse haha!
But yeah, that is pretty much all for now! I get to go to the doctor on April 5th when I'll be just over 13 weeks and the doctor will hopefully get to take a guess at the sex of the baby so we are pretty stoked for that! Eric's birthday is coming up, along with easter, a million of my friends wedding's, my sister-in-law and her cute family coming home from Guam for a bit, and my favorite, Graduation, so needless to say we should be kept pretty busy for the next month and a half! Hopefully we can survive!
Until next time! :)
Here are some ultra sounds from our last appointment and a belly pic (of nothing but some extra flab haha!) from when I was 9 weeks to tide you over :)

This is a cool 3D ultrasound of our little one! So cute :)

This is what I like to call, the sea turtle baby :)

Closer look haha!

anddd last but not least, the 9 week baby belly :)
